TTP Win Connectivity Award 3 Times in a Row!

To see your Company name on a large screen at an Awards event is a proud moment for anyone or any Company and this was especially so for Technical Transport Products (TTP) at the Thermo King Annual Awards Dinner. This year it was held in Barcelona following the Dealer Principals Conference.
Amazingly for the third year running, Technical Transport Products (TTP), have won the Thermo King ‘Connected Solutions Dealer of the Year’ award. It was said that no one has won any award for three years running before. Amazing that a company representing N. Ireland would achieve this, especially where we were among our very successful fellow dealers from Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia. TTP were also nominated in the final three for ‘Trailer Dealer of the Year’.

“This unbelievable win and all previous wins over the years, have all been made possible because of the exceptional team we have at TTP “ commented Tracy Martin.
Technical Transport Products (TTP) are the Thermo King dealer for N. Ireland with bases in Ballymena and Portadown. The Company has been representing Thermo King in N. Ireland for 42 years, originally setup by Billy Finlay and now ran by his daughters Kathryn Dickey and Tracy Martin.

Donal Cox (Regional Director UK Ireland & Benelux and Strategic Initiatives Leader EMEA) ,on presenting the award said, “we had 3 outstanding nominees for this year’s Connected Solutions Dealer of the Year Award. To be nominated means all 3 dealers were focused on selling value and data intelligence proving the importance of uptime to their customers. But we could only have one winner and for the 3rd year in a row our winner of the 2019 Connectivity Dealer of the Year is Technical Transport Products (TTP) from Northern Ireland. To win it once is a great achievement for any dealer but 3 years in a row sets a high standard to the rest of our dealers. The big question is, can they make it four in a row in 2020?”
The Thermo King Connected Solutions helps deliver smarter fleet operations through telematics, for example one of the benefits of the system is offering 2-way communication with your equipment. There is innovative data storage, transfer and management solutions available for the transport of temperature sensitive cargoes, regulatory conformity, fleet usage and data control.
Thermo King pioneered transport temperature control in 1938 and has been world leader ever since. Today their solutions include temperature control systems for trailers, rigid trucks, vans, railway trucks, air, sea-going and intermodal containers. Plus HVAC products (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) for subway carriages, rail carriages and buses.

Some very disappointed Ballinascreen U14 Hurlers at the Final

The boys played Naas in the final, but sadly lost out on the win. However, the boys played a magnificent game, and we could not be more proud. the boys all played with a lot of heart and showed sportsmanship throughout every game. They represented Ballinascreen impeccably well. Although we did not get the result we wanted we leave with great memories! There’s always next year boys!

Randalstown Young Farmers Club Win at Floral Art Final at Balmoral Show 2018

As a local business we are delighted to support local young people. One way we do this is by sponsoring Randalstown Young Farmers Club hoodies. We have a special relationship with Randalstown Young Farmers Club, as Kathryn’s three children have been dedicated members for a number of years.

The highlight of the Young Farmers’ calendar is, without a doubt, Balmoral Show. This year was no exception as this landmark agricultural event celebrated its 150th Show!

Members of the Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster not only attended the Balmoral Show, but participated in many events and competitions. These ranged from sheep shearing to tug of war.

One such competition was the Floral Art Finals. We are delighted to announce that our Stores Apprentice, Gemma Dickey, was awarded First Prize in the 21-25 years age category. This was a tough competition with competitors putting together a display live at the event with a theme of “Duet”.

Under the watchful eye of Judge Karen Frew, competitors showed off their creativity and flair as they delicately placed flowers, foliage and other accessories to craft stunning arrangements. Over 400 competitors had taken part in the Floral Art heats and it was a remarkable achievement for the finalists to showcase their artistic ability at the prestigious agricultural event.

The Thermo King Team, CV Show 2018

ThermoKings’s theme for the CV Show 2018 capitalized on both Thermo King’s 80th anniversary and Figoblok’s 40th anniversary and a combined 120 years of innovation. It proved to be the perfect theme for a show which has earned a reputation for delivering seasoned expertise and the latest innovative technologies each year.

2018’s showcase of zero-emission all electric and hybrid transport refrigeration systems is the embodiment of our guiding principles of environmental, business and social sustainability,” said Pauli Johannesen, Vice President and General Manager of Thermo King’s EMEA Truck, Trailer and Bus business. “For many decades Thermo King and Frigoblock solutions have ensured the sustainability of our customers operations whether in truck, trailer or home delivery operations. The Thermo King and Frigoblok CV Show stand featured the new SLXi Hybrid trailer refrigeration units. Innovative hybrid technology was introduced as a concept during the 2017 CV Show. It has now been turned into reality and combines expertise from Thermo King and Frigoblock for sustainable and cost effective urban and long-haul refrigerated transport.

“This was definitely the highlight as the SLXi Hybrid is a true success of our Thermo King and Frigoblok technologies coming together to deliver a customer solution that will carry well into the future. And timing was great as the product, introduced as a concept in 2017, is now available for order, said Donal.”

The SLXi Hybrid offers customers easier access to restricted, low-noise and low-emission urban areas, while lowering their environmental footprint and operating costs at the same time.

Technical Transport Products Win at Thermo King Dealer Awards

TTP win at the TK Dealer Awards! Thermo King have honoured their most successful dealers at its annual Dealer Principal Conference. We were delighted to be awarded “2017 Connectivity Dealer of the Year” in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Kathryn Dickey and Tracy Martin of TTP are presented with the Connectivity Dealer of the Year 2017 Award

Technical Transport Products are Connectivity Dealer of the Year 2017!

What a year for TTP – not only did we celebrate 40 years in business, but we also made our mark in marketing and delivering innovation by leveraging the SLXi BlueBox technology.

This is a new award introduced by ThermoKing and goes to the dealer who has been most successful in the telematics field. TK Tracking – the Thermo King system, has been extremely successful and has received great feedback from TTP’s customers in Northern Ireland. This is because it’s ease of use and functionality make TK Tracking accessible to everyone, from drivers to office staff and everyone in between. .

The system allows the user to see the location, temperature, setpoint, mode of operation etc. of the trailer, but more importantly TKTracking has two way communication. This means that if a driver accidentally sets the temperature incorrectly someone in the Traffic Office can remotely change the setpoint of the refrigeration unit, no matter where the unit is.

“TTP is focused on providing a full solution to their customers, including connectivity. With the launch of standard connectivity through the SLXi trailer product, TTP took the initiative to share the value proposition of this offering and successfully sold a significant majority all trailer units with TracKing contracts,” said Donal Cox, Thermo King UK, Ireland and Benelux Region Director. “They also utilized Thermo King’s three-month free trial with a number of promotions and achieved an impressively high activation rate.”

The dealership, in partnership with Thermo King’s Fred Rogers, Area Sales and Service Manager, effectively sold the value of connectivity and increased the value Thermo King can offer to customers. “The dealer has recognized the Intelligence and Data is the way forward in our industry. Through Intelligent Services, we can minimise downtime for our customers through predictive maintenance and also become a better solution provider as we learn more about each customer’s fleet operations.”

All 2017 Dealer Award winners were selected for excellence and leadership in all aspects of performance, while also providing a superior customer service.
